| | What Las Vegas's Talking About |
| ๐ EDC Returns to Las Vegas, But at What Cost? | Road closures are already underway in preparation for the first-ever World Party Parade on the Strip tonight, which begins at 6 p.m. to celebrate the return of the Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend. [NDOT] | | | ย | โ๏ธ Smithโs Shooting Suspect Remains In Custody | The victims of a mid-day shooting at Smithโs were identified as Amanda and Victor Frias Rosas โ a married couple that worked together at the grocery store. The man charged in the murders, Alejandro Estrada, is Amandaโs former husband and was in a dispute over unpaid child support involving two children, one of which had a birthday on the day of the shooting. [KLAS] | ย | ๐คท Can Vegas Reach a Limit on Fireworks? | Las Vegas is already planning eight straight Saturdays of fireworks to celebrate America's 250th birthday this summer, but why stop there? The Plaza is bringing back its weekly Friday night fireworks, from June 5 through Sept. 4. [KSNV] | ย | ๐ Raiders Go Home | The Raiders are returning to the Bay Area for the first time since moving to Las Vegas six years ago. (Yes, itโs really been that long.) The teamโs upcoming schedule for the 2025-2026 season will be released today, and it includes an โawayโ game against the San Francisco 49ers. The team will have first-round draft pick Fernando Mendoza on board as quarterback by then, so itโs kinda like bringing a hot date to the class reunion. [Raiders Wire] |

| | Peanut Butter & Jelly Burgers: Your Stickiest Guilty Pleasure |
| | Oozing with goodness at Seventy Six. (Rob Kachelriess/City Cast Las Vegas) |
| I love peanut butter and jelly anything. Not so much the sandwiches, but the flavor profile repackaged in unexpected ways. I even wrote a story about PB&J Old Fashioneds years ago for a defunct publication named Supercall (although the accompanying recipe by a local mixologist was reprinted elsewhere). But my favorite place for peanut butter and jelly is on a good burger. Sounds weird, but it totally works โ and the following restaurants agree. | ย | ๐ Seventy Six Taverns | Seventy Six, a locals-oriented sports bar by Station Casinos, has locations in North Las Vegas, Henderson, and the West Valley โ and all serve the PB&J Smash Burger. The recipe has a spicy kick, thanks to a house-made raspberry-jalapeno jam. A pair of short rib-and-chuck patties get smashed on the grill for a nice crust while both halves of the bun are smeared with peanut butter and griddled until golden brown. The kitchen adds it all together with pickles and American cheese for one indulgent, delicious bite. | ย | ๐ Slaterโs 50/50 | Whether in Silverado Ranch or the Northwest Valley, Slaterโs 50/50 has the P.B. & Jealousy, a favorite on the menu since day one. It layers a flame-grilled angus beef patty, thick-cut bacon, melted peanut butter, and strawberry jelly on a honey wheat bun. (Feel free to substitute a 50/50 patty โ half beef, half ground bacon โ at no extra charge for extra smokiness.) | ย | ๐ The Front Yard | The Ellis Island Casino is getting in on the act too. The Front Yard just introduced a new menu that includes a PB&J Burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, and peanut butter jam with the crunchy kick of fried jalapenos. Wash it down with one of Ellis Islandโs own craft beers. (I recommend the amber ale.) | ย | ๐ Lazy Dog | Lazy Dog is best known for its pet-friendly policies, welcoming doggies to hang out with their owners on large covered patios with locations in Henderson, Downtown Summerlin, and Town Square. Bring your pup and ask for the PB & J Burger, which combines a half-pound burger with peanut butter, grape jelly, candied bacon, and havarti cheese with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. |
