How’s your Tuesday, Las Vegas? Well, at least you’re not the CNN correspondent in Las Vegas who mistook Detroit Pistons general manager Troy Weaver for a local during a man-on-the-street segment about the heat. “It’s the funniest thing,” Weaver said.

In March, about $80 million into a project estimated to cost $50 million, Gov. Lombardo terminated a troubled effort to replace outdated computer systems in the human resources and finance departments. (They date from 1999.) Now Nevada will spend $160 million to start over. [Nevada Independent]
🚎 Violence on Wheels?
“We’ve had feces and urine thrown over the top of the driver compartment.” That’s just one of the complaints leveled by a local transit bus driver, as the conversation continues about safety on the RTC’s buses. Other problems include rowdy riders and insufficient security. The RTC says it’s addressing those issues as quickly as it can. [Review-Journal]
