What's CITY Talking About?

👮 Quick Turnaround
A Henderson officer fired for a DUI charge a day after graduating from the police academy is a former baseball pro who played for the Mets, Mariners, and here in Vegas as part of the 51s. Chasen Bradford was “swerving” and “hitting medians” before he was arrested and promptly fired. [Las Vegas Review Journal]
🔥 Hotel Fire Evacuation

Big thanks to Nate Tannenbaum and the 8 News Now team for featuring City Cast Las Vegas as the “Coffee Cup Salute of the Day” 🫡 Nate even called us “cool” ❣️
🏠 On federal land for housing…
“Dear Governor, It's time to start thinking about all this building and the profits. What happens when we run out of water? Schools are out of teachers already. What then? Start spending and give a thought to our future.”
— Gwen T.
💊 And the state of medical care…
“The doctors aren't the problem in my experience. It's the corporations that own the private practices … My brilliant doc that works for a corporation tells me he no longer hires his own staff, nor is he able to correct any mistakes they make. The office manager runs the place. It's a terrible office to go to. Mistakes everytime I go there.”
— Darlene G.

Here’s what they love the most about our city: "My favorite thing of our city is its dynamic energy and constant evolution. Vegas is my hometown, and I've witnessed its growth and transformation firsthand much like many others. There's always something new to discover, whether it's a hidden gem of a restaurant, an exciting cultural event, a must-see attraction, or a unique community initiative. Las Vegas holds a special place in my heart, and I love delving into its rich tapestry of experiences and stories."

Final thoughts: A Texas man is running for president after changing his name to “Literally Anybody Else.” Wonder if someone could run for office in Nevada as “None of These Candidates”? 🙃
