What's CITY Talking About?

💥 Tropicana Demolition Target Set

Bally’s Corp. is targeting October for the demolition of the Tropicana, which closes tomorrow. No word yet on if we’re getting an old-school Vegas implosion, but a rep described October as the “main event,” so let your imagination run wild from there. [KVVU]

📈 Prepare Yourself for the North Las Vegas Boom

North Las Vegas has some big projects on the way, including the 20-acre Gateway Village in downtown as well as Hylo Park and Champion Square at the Texas Station site. Expect shops, restaurants, and other attractions with yet another ice rink in the works. Vegas can’t get enough of those ⛸️ [KTNV]

  • Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown has been thinking big for a while now. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]

🐴 Horse Roundup Begins

The Bureau of Land Management kicks off a roundup today that targets more than 300 wild horses in the Caliente area. It’s part of a four-year project to reduce the population of horses and burros in the wild. Critics say the animals can get hurt trying to elude capture. [KLAS]
