🚨 Summerlin law office shooting
April 9, 2024
🦋 Before we get into the heavy stuff, let’s talk butterflies. The Springs Preserve just opened its butterfly exhibit for the season, giving visitors young and old the right balance of zen, knowledge, and beauty in a crazy world.
What's CITY Talking About?
🚨 Lawyers Killed in Summerlin Shooting
Three people are dead after a child custody deposition turned violent. Dennis Prince was representing his wife Ashley when both were shot by attorney Joe Houston, who then turned the gun on himself. The accused shooter was representing son Dylan Houston, who is Ashley’s ex-husband. [KVVU]
😣 Pet Remains Found in Desert
Deceased pets from Las Vegas were found dumped in bags in the Utah desert. It’s the second such site traced back to First Call Pet Cremation, which blames a Utah woman contracted to cremate the pets. [KTNV]
⛽ Gas-Free Gripes
An incentive program for Nevada businesses to replace trucks and buses with carbon-free vehicles appears to be spinning its wheels. There’s confusion over how to spend federal funds for the program, now delayed until at least late this year. [Nevada Independent]
