What's CITY Talking About?
🚄 Brightline is Ready to Go (We Think)
Pete Buttigieg says there’s “no going back” once Americans get used to high-speed rail. The Transportation Secretary appeared at yesterday’s groundbreaking for the 218-mile Brightline West, connecting Las Vegas and Rancho Cucamonga by 2028. Senator Jacky Rosen noted the project has “all the funding needed” 🤔 [MSNBC, KSNV]

💊 Abortion Pills at the Pharmacy
CVS and Walgreens are now selling mifepristone by prescription in Nevada, following a push by Senator Catherine Cortez Masto. The legality of the medication, used for more than half of all abortions, is being challenged before the U.S. Supreme Court — so sales could be short-lived. [Nevada Independent]
🦃 Illegal Turkey Dump
Nevada Wildlife is trying to track down two people in connection to the dumping of 25 turkeys in Key Pittman Wildlife Management Area north of Las Vegas. How you end up with 25 turkeys in the first place, I don’t know. But they sound delicious 😋 [KTNV]
