🌎 How to get banned at the Sphere
June 7, 2024 · Rob Kachelriess
💸 Think of all that money lost at the casino as a fee for air conditioning. It’s more “Vegas” that way.
A triple-digit weekend is upon us. Stay indoors and drink lots of whiskey. (I mean, water) 👍

What's CITY Talking About?
💰 iPad Bandit Robs Bank
Digital tablets make everything easier, including bank robberies. A man was arrested after using an iPad to show tellers a note demanding money during two Las Vegas bank robbery attempts. It worked once. The suspect made off with $1,000 at one bank before he was tracked down and arrested at a hotel. [KLAS]
🏁 F1 Downsizes Controversial Bridge
Formula 1 is installing a temporary two-lane bridge on Flamingo that will cross over the Las Vegas Grand Prix racetrack on Koval between mid-October and mid-December. It’s a smaller version of the four-lane bridge that local businesses blame for customer disruptions during the inaugural edition of the race last year. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
😶🌫️ The Sphere Bans Phish Fan
A fan was officially banned from the Sphere after enjoying the “first bong hit to ever be ripped” inside the high-tech venue during an April Phish concert. The incident was recorded on video and circulated online. [Consequence Sound]
- At least he can still view the Sphere outdoors from the best vantage points in Vegas. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
🗳️ Last Call for Early Voting
Today is your last chance to participate in early voting before Tuesday’s primary. It’s a pivotal election to determine the next mayor as well as the GOP challenger to Senator Jacky Rosen. Donald Trump has declined to endorse a Republican for the race, but maybe that will change when the presidential candidate holds a rally at Sunset Park on Sunday 🤔 [Nevada Current]
