⚖️ Fake electors off the hook?
June 24, 2024 · Rob Kachelriess
☀️ Welcome back from the weekend. You survived the heat dome. Things can only go up from here 😎

What's CITY Talking About?
⚖️ Fake Electors Case Dismissed
A Clark County judge dismissed a case against six Nevada Republicans charged with submitting fake electors on behalf of President Trump in the 2020 election. The reason? Location is everything. [Nevada Independent]
🗳️ Ballot Battle in Nevada
First they came for the Green Party. Now, they’re coming for RFK, Jr. The Democrats are suing to keep presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. off the Nevada presidential ballot, claiming he’s not a true independent after accepting minor third-party nominations in other states. He’s also a registered Democrat in New York. 🏠 Coyotes Squat in Vacant Home
Coyotes have taken a liking to a Summerlin South home that’s been abandoned for more than 10 years, coming and going while freaking out neighbors and taking out at least one stray cat. [KLAS]

⛰️ Monolith Removed
The mysterious monolith at Gass Peak was removed by Metro Police, the same people who told us about it in the first place. (Can we give it back to the aliens now? 👽) The move was a “public safety” issue, likely to discourage hikers trying to track the thing down in hot weather. [Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department]
🕺 Life is a Dance Party
The Life is Beautiful festival will “hit pause” this year. Instead, organizers are hosting “A Big Beautiful Block Party” at the Plaza September 27-28, playing up the location’s (relative) proximity to the Arts District. The announcement says a reimagined version of the festival will return “in time.” [Life is Beautiful]

So about that photo … The answer is C.
The photo was taken at Pasabocas Colombian Bakery. The family-owned business is an authentic++ destination for Colombian pastries, desserts, and fresh-baked bread, which you can smell from the moment you walk through the door. Try the guava puff pastries and thank us later 😋
