👷 Something new at the Bellagio

July 3, 2024 · Rob Kachelriess

🖐️ Hey, heads up…

City Cast Las Vegas is taking the July 4th holiday off, so there won’t be a newsletter or podcast tomorrow 🇺🇲 (We have a feeling you’ll be busy anyway.) We’ll return with a special edition of the newsletter Friday.

Until then … Happy Independence Day! 🎉 Don’t forget to read our guide to fireworks in Las Vegas.

👀 Bellagio to Renovate Walkway Entrance

Our buddies at Vital Vegas dug up some plans that show the Bellagio is planning a major expansion and renovation of the walkway between the resort and Las Vegas Boulevard. It will include shops, food, drinks, and some kind of rooftop venue. Don’t worry, the Bellagio fountains won’t be affected. [Vital Vegas/Casino.org]

🏀 A Big Night for the WNBA

The WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces play rookie star Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever tonight in a game so big, it was moved from the Michelob Ultra Arena to the T-Mobile Arena — and it’s still sold out. Tickets are popular on the resale market, starting at $67 on Stubhub. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

🇮🇹 Italian Military Jets Invade Las Vegas

There’s a military flyover planned for the Strip, but it has nothing to do with the Independence Day holiday. A team with the Italian Air Force will fly over the Strip between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. today as part of an ongoing U.S. tour. [KVVU]

🥵 Yes, It’s Really Getting Hotter

We just escaped the hottest June on record in Las Vegas. The average high was 106.2 degrees, the average low was 83, and the overall average was 94.6. It’s only getting hotter. July 4th will see a high of 113 degrees, so plan accordingly ☀️ [KTNV]
