Mobile library.
A mobile library’s coming to AREA15 (OverDrive/Las Vegas-Clark County Library District)

See for yourself tomorrow when a new 53-foot long Library Vehicle will be parked in front of AREA15 for interactive experiences to promote digital book and movie rentals.

Free events connected to the Fiction and Film Tour will also be represented indoors near Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, which is offering 10% off admission with the code COYL2024.

Religion, Taxes, and the Neon Museum

The Neon Museum just announced a move to the Arts District. Today’s Friday news roundup discusses new additions to the museum (spoiler: they’re from the Mirage) as well as the controversial approval of the LDS temple in Lone Mountain and how the idea of eliminating federal taxes on tips is suddenly a bipartisan issue. City Cast Las Vegas co-hosts Sarah Lohman and Dayvid Figler welcome the Nevada Independent’s Jacob Solis for a roundtable conversation.

Congratulations to George the Duck, a longtime resident of the Mirage who can’t fly due to a broken wing. The mallard will have a new home at the Flamingo, presumably at the resort’s Wildlife Habitat 🦆
