Resorts World appears to be following the “trust, but verify” approach of Ronald Reagan. The hotel has been conducting daily “non-intrusive” room inspections this past week with two hacker conventions in town, Black Hat and DefCon. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

Unlocked4Life.com is a service that offers to free up locked Instagram accounts, but it appears the founder of the company was the one locking them up in the first place. He’s facing charges after the FBI heard him fess up to the scheme on a podcast. [KVVU]
📚 Classrooms for Mt. Charleston Students
The Clark County School District agreed to add classrooms to the Mt. Charleston Library, which would spare students a long commute to Indian Springs. Trustees declined to repair Lundy Elementary School on the mountain, which closed due to damage by Tropical Storm Hilary in 2023. [KSNV]
