🎭 What’s holding up the Huntridge Theater revival?

🗳️ Your last chance to vote is tomorrow.
This is what it looked like when I took part in early voting at the Arroyo Crossing polling station Friday.

The lines were long, but moved quickly. The volunteers were incredibly friendly and helpful. (Please be nice to them.) And if you already filled out your ballot at home, there’s a separate line for dropping them off. And who doesn’t love skipping a line in Vegas 😎

What's CITY Talking About?
🏎️ How’s F1 Doing?
The two largest Strip resort operators are issuing a negative prognosis on the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which is coming up Nov. 21 - 23. MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment anticipate multimillion-dollar year-over-year declines this year, compared to the inaugural race in 2023. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
- Probably related: Ticket discounts are now available. Newly released single-day tickets are as low as $99. [KLAS]
- But this is cool: Formula 1 is using some innovative Tatooine-esque technology to turn humidity into water on the Strip. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🇵🇭 Las Vegas is Gearing Up For Filipino Town
Clark County is looking to designate a cultural district east of the Strip as Filipino Town. It’s between Flamingo and Desert Inn on Maryland Parkway. Some great restaurants are in that area 😋 And a Jollibee. [KLAS]
🎭 Huntridge Theater Resurrection Moves Forward
The long journey for a Huntridge Theater comeback continues. Design plans are more than 90 percent complete for the venue, which is now 80 years old. But ongoing litigation and questions about a cellphone tower are causing delays. [KTNV]
