🧹 The dirtiest hotel in Vegas revealed
November 20, 2024 · Rob Kachelriess
🚧 To call Formula 1 a disruption would be an understatement, but Las Vegas is trying to give locals a break this week.
We confirmed a two-for-one discount at the Wicked Spoon buffet that’s making the rounds on social media. Just bring a Nevada driver’s license or ID 8 a.m. - 2 p.m through Sunday.
And Miss Behave’s Mavericks is giving free tickets to any employee in the resort corridor who’s lost hours or shifts due to F1. Just show a recent pay stub, employee ID, or work badge at the box office window between now and Sunday.
🏎️ We have more to say about Formula 1 racing in Las Vegas. Scroll down for a locals guide to Race Week 👇 and listen in as City Cast Las Vegas talks to a marketing executive about the challenges facing the Grand Prix. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]

What's CITY Talking About?

🚔 Arrest Made After Doggies Dumped in Trash
A man arrested for tossing puppies into a dumpster says he did it because he lost his job, got evicted, and couldn't take care of them. Sounds like he’ll have a roof over his head in jail for some time to come. Bonus charges: He’s accused of stealing a car too. [KSNV]
- The puppies are now with a foster family, thanks to the assistance of Wagging Tails Rescue. Feel free to throw some money their way. [KLAS]
🏌️Vegas Takes a Swing at Affordable Housing
The Desert Pines Golf Club, which is owned by the City of Las Vegas, will be transformed into the largest affordable housing project in Nevada. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
- Residents just a few miles east in Sunrise Manor are opposing plans by Century Communities to develop homes at the base of Frenchman Mountain. A neighborhood meeting addresses the matter tonight. [KVVU]
- Get to know Sunrise Manor a little bit better and learn more about an effort to protect the mountain as a national monument. [Hey Las Vegas ✍️]
🏆 A Clean Sweep
To minimal surprise and few raised eyebrows, Circus Circus was named the dirtiest hotel and casino in Las Vegas, based on an analysis of keywords in TripAdvisor reviews. OYO, Silver Sevens, the Excalibur, and Flamingo round out the top-five. [CasinoApps]
