What's CITY Talking About?

😇 Holy Hoaxsters
Four Las Vegas preachers have pleaded guilty to Medicaid fraud. The two couples, all pastors, lied about previous convictions, enabling them to enroll their healthcare companies with Nevada Medicaid and bill the state for services they never delivered. [KLAS]
🤖 Artificially Intelligent Hotel Eyes Opening Date
The Otonomous Hotel begins taking reservations Monday with a grand opening set for summer. It’s billed as the first AI-powered hotel in the world, but the proximity to Allegiant Stadium could be the 550-room resort’s best selling point. [KTNV]
🚗 Who Needs Drivers Anyway?
Las Vegas continues to be a hub for tech companies testing autonomous vehicles. The latest example is Waymo, which plans to set its vehicles loose on city centers and freeways, although with a real human ready behind the wheel — just in case. [KSNV]
🥵 Rain in Short Supply

- Vegas faced a historic heat wave last year, breaking the record for the highest recorded temperature. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
