City Cast Las Vegas
🎶 Beyoncé books Vegas
March 18, 2025 · Rob Kachelriess
☕ Good morning, y’all …
After a wild St. Patrick’s Day, I’m nursing a green beer hangover and thinking about how much I love Las Vegas.
The rest of the country seems to love us too. Remember all those Vegas moments that caught the nation’s attention, like the dude who climbed the Sphere and the ambitious truth-seekers who threatened to storm AREA 51? 👽

With that in mind, City Cast Las Vegas looks back on the most viral moments in our city’s history. It’s a fun episode with a few surprises on the list 😉 [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]

What's CITY Talking About?

🚰 Two Dams, One River
Nevada and other lower Colorado River basin states are urging the Trump administration to fix the Glen Canyon Dam, which controls the flow of water from Lake Powell in Northern Arizona to Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Damaged pipes, discovered last year, could slow down the water flow when we’re already in short supply. [Las Vegas Sun]
🚧 Accessing the A’s Stadium
Work has yet to start on the A’s Las Vegas ballpark, but Clark County is already thinking about how to handle the traffic around it. Early plans propose to expand Reno Avenue and straighten out its curved intersection with Giles Street, while adding a pedestrian bridge, RTC stop, three entry lanes, and five exit lanes with access to the stadium. Don’t expect any access lanes from Tropicana Avenue, which is already too busy to handle it. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🏀 Runnin’ From the Rebels
A nationwide search is underway to replace Kevin Kruger, who was fired as UNLV men’s basketball coach over the weekend. Star player Dedan Thomas Jr. is now looking to leave too — or at least weighing his options. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🐝 BeyHive Buzzing to Vegas
Beyoncé is bringing her Cowboy Carter Tour to Allegiant Stadium on July 25, putting an end to speculation the singer was playing the Sphere — at least for now. [People]
- Rod Stewart keeps adding dates to his Caesars Palace residency, which was supposed to play its final shows last year. But who’s counting, right? [KSNV]
