What's CITY Talking About?
🚔 Police Chase & Casino Shooting
A wild police chase involved multiple crashes, carjackings, and speeds of more than 100 miles per hour all over the East Valley, ending with a suspect captured on Boulder Highway. If that wasn’t enough, this all started with a deadly shooting inside the Aliante casino. [KSNV]
🚨 Tesla Arson Suspect Arrested
It took over a week, but 36-year-old Paul Hyon Kim was charged in the Molotov cocktail attack on a parking lot of Teslas. He was taken into custody inside the Venetian (at a cybersecurity conference of all places) and is now in the hands of federal authorities. [KLAS]
💸 A Fine Day at Resorts World
The gaming commission officially approved a fine of $10.5 million against Resorts World for allowing questionable gamblers on property. The Strip hotel is already trying to balance out the books by firing “less than 50” employees. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🗳️ Ballot Battle, Round One
A new White House executive order could change how we vote in Nevada. If it stands, proof of citizenship would be required for registration and mail ballots would no longer be counted if they arrive after Election Day. [Nevada Independent]
