🎉 The weekend is upon us …
Chag sameach to all our Jewish readers celebrating Passover tomorrow 🕍
Honey Salt has a special Passover dinner menu Saturday-Monday, the Rampart Casino’s Market Buffet is serving their own spin on holiday dishes Saturday, and you can’t go wrong with our favorite Jewish delis in Las Vegas any day of the week.

What's CITY Talking About?
😇 It’s Doomsday for Nevada Bills
Today is the first committee-passage deadline for the current legislative session. If you’re a political junkie who can’t get enough of Carson City politics — and that’s all of us, right? — our friends at the Nevada Independent put together a nifty tracking tool that updates the status of each bill as soon as possible. Spoiler: a lot of proposed laws are about to die. [Nevada Independent]
- Gov. Lombardo is grumbling about Democrats blocking his bills and dropped an F-bomb to describe negative voices on social media. (To be fair, I do that too.) [Nevada Current]
⚖️ Keffe D Receives Warm-Up Guilty Sentence
Duane “Keffe D” Davis was found guilty — not of murdering Tupac Shakur (at least not yet), but for battery after getting into a fight with a fellow inmate. Davis is in prison, awaiting trial for the 1996 Vegas killing of the rap star. [KVVU]
💉 Measles Vaccine Worries
The school year began without kindergarten students reaching the 95% measles vaccination rate to lock in herd immunity levels. One North Las Vegas school was as low as 47%. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🎰 What Are the Odds?
The Strat, Rio, and Palms have all shifted back to 3:2 blackjack, giving players more favorable odds, while Strip casinos continue to tighten their steel grip around your wallet. The Strat also installed single-zero roulette games and the Rio improved payouts on video poker machines. [Casinos.com]
- No matter what, Las Vegas is still one of the coolest cities in the United States. There’s even a new study that confirms it! Learn more during the latest Friday news roundup by City Cast Las Vegas. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
