🍦 Wow!

Thanks to everyone who joined us for a City Cast Las Vegas podcast taping at UnCommons. Co-host and culinary historian Sarah Lohman had a great conversation with Andrew Kiraly of the List about the history of ice cream, while Salt & Straw gave out free samples to everyone in the courtyard 😋
We have more events planned in the future, including some members-only Neighbor exclusives. If you haven’t signed up to be a Neighbor, we still have some free City Cast Las Vegas Neighbor mugs to give away 👀

What's CITY Talking About?
⚖️ A New Trial for Michele Fiore?
President Trump may have pardoned former Nevada lawmaker Michele Fiore, but the story isn’t over yet — maybe. The pardon only covers federal charges and legal experts say it wouldn’t be considered double jeopardy to take the former Las Vegas City Council member to trial on state charges — a decision in the hands of Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford. Fiore was convicted of misusing funds intended for a police memorial. [Reno Gazette Journal]
🌎 Beyoncé Vs. Sphere
The company behind the Sphere issued a cease-and-desist order against Beyoncé over a video that plays during the singer’s latest stadium tour (which comes to Vegas July 25-26). The imagery shows a giant-sized Beyoncé walking over the Strip while picking up the Sphere and playing with it. (Maybe she can negotiate a residency as a settlement?) [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🔎 Decoding Las Vegas Urban Legends
Did you hear the news? A man took a woman back to his Vegas hotel room and woke up in a bathtub full of ice with his organs missing 😱 We swear it happened! Well, I heard from my friend’s uncle’s girlfriend that the story is true. Maybe. City Cast Las Vegas takes a deep look at the truth behind our city’s most notorious urban legends with a pair of professional skeptics. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
