🚘 AREA15 to charge for parking?
May 14, 2025 · — Rob Kachelriess
🫣 Man,
The Vegas Golden Knights got brutalized on social media after losing to Edmonton Monday. Never seen our hometown fans that vicious before.
The Knights are now 30-1 underdogs to win the Stanley Cup — about the same odds as a smooth landing in Newark — but have a chance to stave off elimination back home at the T-Mobile Arena tonight 🏒
Positive thoughts 🙏

🎰 Snug As a Bug on the Strip
Bonus news quiz! What do the Luxor and Treasure Island have in common?
A. Busy nightclubs?
B. Reasonable resort fees?
C. High-end steakhouses?
D. Bed bugs?
If you chose, “D” ... you’re the winner, at least according to three new lawsuits, filed by plaintiffs who appear to be losers in the game of Las Vegas tourism. [KSNV]
🥃 Last Call for Hogs & Heifers
I once got scolded by the staff at Hogs and Heifers for walking in with a tie. (Apparently, it’s against the dress code.) With that being said, I’m bummed to hear the bar’s 20-year run is coming to an end. The parent company of Rolling Stone magazine, which is taking control of the property, along with the Downtown Grand, doesn’t want Hogs & Heifers around — which couldn’t be any more at odds with what the original spirit of Rolling Stone was all about. 💧 Lake Mead: Prognosis Negative
Expect a “painful summer” for Lake Mead as less water than originally expected trickles down the Colorado River from a less-than-stellar snowpack in the Rocky Mountains. [Newsweek]
- This prompts an important question worth revisiting: Could Las Vegas survive without Lake Mead? City Cast Las Vegas looks for the answer — and we may have found it. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
