🔥 Homeless Camps Blamed for Wetlands Park Fires

The latest brush fire at Wetlands Park was big enough to get a name (the Wiesner Fire) and now that it’s contained, authorities are shifting focus on how to prevent another one, taking a hard look at the homeless who camp in the area. Four fires in 2025 alone have burned at least 150 acres at the park. [KSNV]

🔔 Warning Bells Keep Ringin’ 🔔

Tourism continues to drop in Las Vegas, along with casino revenue. Airport traffic was up in May from April, but lags behind the same period last year. [KLAS/KSNV]

• This comes as the Rio revamps its rewards program, Resorts World temporarily drops resort fees, and The Strat introduces “all-in summer pricing” that includes the resort fee, taxes, and tower admission in the room rate, beginning at $49.
