🌲 Ho! Ho! Ho!
We got a good response to our Christmas in July story — and the month continues to get jollier with:
🎞️ A screening of “Elf” by the Boulevard Pool at the Cosmopolitan July 25.
🍷 A Nutcracker in July wine tasting benefit for the Nevada Ballet Theatre at Crush Pad Wine Bar July 26.
🛍️ Sales on holiday items at Goodwill July 29-31.
Plan accordingly 👍

What's CITY Talking About?
👷 Construction Updates (and Lack of Updates)
The M Resort has revamped and updated its casino floor as part of a property-wide renovation that includes new convention space by the end of the year and a second hotel tower that’s scheduled to be done in 2026.
- Still no signs of work to replace the Mt. Charleston Lodge, which burned down in 2021. Plans for a replacement were unveiled last year with expectations to break ground in early 2025. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
🚔 Police Officer Chase
A Las Vegas driver faces eight charges, including driving under the influence, reckless driving, and failure to stop for a police officer — and here’s the fun part, the suspect happens to be a police officer himself. Zachary Louis is now suspended. [KVVU]
🗳️ Nevada Ordered to Hand Over Voter Info
Did you vote in the last election? There’s a good chance your information will end up on a desk at the U.S. Department of Justice. The Trump Administration is demanding the voter rolls of nine states, including Nevada, as El Presidente continues to complain about allegations of election corruption. [Nevada Current]
✍️ The Veto Power is Strong in Nevada
We’re still reflecting on what got done — and what didn't — in Nevada’s latest legislative session. City Cast Las Vegas looks back on Gov. Lombardo’s record-setting pace of vetoes and how it’s shaking out for the state. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
