🛣️ City Launches Street Safety Project
The Historic Westside Complete Streets Project aims to improve safety for pedestrians along key corridors by reducing lanes, widening sidewalks, adding lighting, and installing bike lanes. Leaders say they’re still in the planning phase, so construction could begin as early as 2027. [KSNV]
👀 Metro Police Unveil Remote Drone System
Las Vegas Metro Police are expanding their drone program by launching 13 remote-controlled skyports they say will improve response times and officer safety. A Metro official addressed privacy and civil liberty concerns saying drones will fly upwards while traveling so as to not collect “unnecessary data.” [Las Vegas Sun]
