Look for your weekly members-only events email, which will arrive in your inbox later this afternoon. We’ll include instructions on how to enter. Good luck!

What's CITY Talking About?
🚑 Infant’s Ambulance Ride, Billed by the Mile
After an 11-month-old was treated for a seizure brought on by a fever, the parents were handed a bill for $1,200 to cover the ambulance ride, plus $35 for every mile between their North Las Vegas home and UMC. Before you ask — yes, they had health insurance, but UnitedHealthcare denied the claim for not being “in network” or with a primary care provider. [KLAS]
⚡ NV Energy Increases Refunds
After issuing more than $5 million in refunds over misclassified rates, NV Energy is now proposing to give an additional $32 million back to customers. This only affects about 44,000 people out of nearly 2.5 million users — but hey, those jackpot odds are better than Powerball 👍 [KLAS]
💩 Poop Emojis Draw Ire of Boulder City
A Pinkbox Doughnuts location is coming to Boulder City — with a catch. City officials nixed plans for two giant poop emoji statues in front of the business. Pinkbox is receiving $98,000 from the city to beautify the old 7-Eleven it’s taking over, drawing a wave of raised eyebrows from surrounding business owners 🤨 [Nevada Current]
🚗 Park Like a Caesar For Free (Most of the Week)
Las Vegas may not be dead, but Caesars Entertainment is worried enough to actually hand out free parking to locals. Take advantage of it while you can (until Oct. 30) at Caesars Palace, the Cromwell, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Horseshoe, The LINQ, Paris, and Planet Hollywood. The catch: The deal is only valid Sunday through Thursday 🤨 [KSNV]
