What's CITY Talking About
💰 Vegas Hotel Goes Up for Auction
The Lexi, an off-Strip boutique hotel formerly (and perhaps better) known as the Artisan, is up for auction on Dec. 15 after an October foreclosure. Collect your pennies. The starting bid is $2 million. [Vital Vegas]
🧳 No More NoMad on the Strip
A ritzy resort brand is leaving Las Vegas, but you’ll barely notice 🧐 The NoMad hotel-within-a-hotel at the Park MGM is being replaced by The Reserve — a name that sounds better for a wine collection, but should work out fine, especially with a Marriott Bonvoy partnership. Otherwise, the changes are subtle, like the NoMad Pool becoming the Terrace Pool and The NoMad Library restaurant now just The Library. [Hospitality Net]
🤑 Bingo Is Back on the Strip
Bingo, missing on the Strip since the Riviera closed in 2015, returns in February at Circus Circus. The new parlor is among a few quiet renovations at a property known for not changing much of anything over the years. (There’s even — gasp — a new carpet in the works 🤯) The bingo hall will keep things old school with paper and daubers. No electronics. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]
- Bingo is catching on with a younger crowd these days, but the appeal is timeless. [Hey Las Vegas ✍️]
✍️ Gov. Lombardo Signs First Responder Bill
After weighing a veto, Gov. Lombardo decided to go ahead and sign a bill expanding health coverage for firefighters and other first responders with lung conditions. [KTNV]
- The governor squared off against Nevada lawmakers during two special sessions this year. Were the political debates enough to rank among the biggest beefs of 2025? 👀 Listen in to find out as we rank the top feuds of the year. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
