🤬 Arts District parking outrage

December 12, 2025 · — Rob Kachelriess

🍷 Thank you to all the City Cast Las Vegas Neighbors who joined us for a members-only holiday party at Crush Pad Wine Bar last night 🥳

These exclusive events are just one reason to become a City Cast Las Vegas Neighbor. I was already a big fan of Crush Pad — it’s my favorite wine bar in the West Valley — but when I found out the owners are City Cast Las Vegas Neighbors, it only fostered a greater sense of connection with a local business that values its community.

We’ve reached the final day of our end-of-year membership campaign. If you’re on the fence about signing up, please know we still have goals to meet — and those goals are vital to supporting the work we do 🙏

Nobody else is putting out a daily podcast and newsletter in Las Vegas, made by locals for locals and 100% human-generated.

Plus: In addition to all the perks, you’ll get a City Cast beanie and qualify to enter a drawing for Interstellar Arc tickets at AREA15 👀

💸 Surprise! New Arts District Parking Fees

As parking grows tighter and more expensive in the Arts District, spaces north of Charleston have generally remained free — until now. With little warning, the City of Las Vegas installed signs for text-to-pay parking on Main St. and 1st St., although they’re currently covered up until the system is active. This comes after a third-party paid-parking service (that uses QR codes and Nashville already hates) took over the Art Square and Arts Factory lots. [KSNV]

👰 Wedding Regret

😀 Weekend Odds and Ends

  • The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be at Glittering Lights for photo ops tonight 5-6 p.m. and tomorrow 5-7 p.m.
  • Japanese/Filipino bakery Milk Bread has a grand opening in Chinatown tomorrow with a free coffee and pastry for anyone who “dances in” 🕺 The first 50 guests win free coffee for a month.
  • The Fremont Street Experience celebrates 30 years on Sunday with the debut of a holiday village, plus menorah and tree lighting ceremonies.
  • This has nothing to do with Vegas, but I can’t resist mentioning that Disney+ is streaming “A Charlie Brown Christmas” free to non-subscribers Dec. 13-14 — and we just need a little love, right?
