🫸 Border Patrol boss booted from bar
February 9, 2026 · — Rob Kachelriess
🏈 Super Bowl Sunday is over. Time to shake off the hangover and deal with Monotonous Monday 🥱

Hazel was decked out in blue and green to cheer on the Seahawks. Not sure if she placed a bet or not 🤔

What's CITY Talking About
🍸 Border Control Boss Deported From Vegas Bar
Border Patrol bigwig Greg Bovino, whose immigration control operation tear-gassed, detained, and killed American citizens in Minneapolis, thought it was a good idea to celebrate his demotion by partying on the Las Vegas Strip. Bottled Blonde wasn’t down and escorted him out. A rep says he’s not welcome back. [Las Vegas Sun]
- Bovino was “chugging wine.” I prefer the beer at Bottled Blonde 🍺 We covered the place a few months back in our ongoing new restaurants roundup. [City Cast Las Vegas ✍️]
👋 Adios Amodei
In a surprise move, Nevada’s only Republican member of Congress won’t seek reelection at the end of his term — despite saying otherwise a few months ago. Don’t get excited, lefties. Rep. Mark Amodei’s district up north is solid red and unlikely to flip, even if Republicans have a worse year than already projected. [Nevada Independent]
🚦 Artificial Intelligence To Control Downtown Traffic Flow
Before artificial intelligence takes our jobs and destroys humanity, it will make crosswalks more efficient 👍 The City of Las Vegas is rolling out a pilot program for 16 automated smart signals near the Fremont Street Experience that detect pedestrians and adjust traffic flow in real time. [KTNV]
🎛️ Electronic Dance Parties at Commercial Center?
The demolition of the Commercial Arts Building at Historic Commercial Center is underway — and it could be the first step in giving the off-Strip shopping center a dramatic refresh. Insomniac, promoter of the Electric Daisy Carnival, wants to buy and renovate the on-site events center for $15 million with the idea of holding two events a week. [KTNV]
