When Floyd Mayweather said he was returning to professional boxing after nearly nine years of retirement, we knew something was up. And it’s something big 🌎 The undefeated GOAT is facing off with old rival Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas this September — at the Sphere 👀 I’m already going to assume most of us can’t afford tickets, but it’s ok — we can watch the fight live on Netflix. 🔥 Vegas Tourists Trapped in Paradise
My plans to revisit Puerto Vallarta are on hold as Mexican cartels continue to torch the vacation town. A Summerlin couple arrived Saturday and is now on lockdown at their resort. (Hopefully, the tequila doesn’t run out 🥃) They report feeling “a little bit nervous” but “safe” since cartels don’t appear to be targeting hotels. (Costco is another story.) [KVVU/Mexico News Daily]
🐶 Happy Ending for Abandoned Doggie
A two-year-old goldendoodle abandoned at Harry Reid International Airport was adopted by one of the Metro police officers who came to help 🥹 The dog is now named “Jet Blue” — after the airline the former owner tried to board after ditching the pooch. It’s worth noting JetBlue (the airline) was so touched by the story, it donated $6,000 to the rescue that looked after the pup. [KTNV]
