🥳 Flavor Flav’s Olympic-worthy Vegas party
February 25, 2026 · — Rob Kachelriess
🎙️ We always give you Vegas from a locals’ perspective.
And that’s especially true today. The latest episode of City Cast Las Vegas brings together born-and-raised Las Vegans to discuss life off the Strip and what the rest of the country gets wrong about our town. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]

What's CITY Talking About
⚡ NV Energy to Give Customers Their Money Back
A settlement for NV Energy to issue $63 million in refunds was unanimously approved by Nevada regulators. The money goes to 43,000 customers who were overcharged over the past two decades. The good news? Most affected are in Southern Nevada 💰 The bad? Some may not see reimbursements until September. [Nevada Independent]
🤔 HOA Weighs the Need for Bulletproof Glass
Sure, people resent the HOA — but could that seething anger turn dangerous? The Sun City Summerlin Community Association was considering “bullet resistant plexiglass” to protect employees during board meetings, but appears to have dropped the idea. [KLAS]
🏅 Flavor Flav Invites Olympians to Party in Vegas
The gold-winning U.S. women’s hockey team turned down an appearance at last night’s State of the Union — citing scheduling conflicts, not the backhanded invitation — but could be down to party with Flavor Flav in Las Vegas 🎉 The rapper and Vegas local extended the invite on social media, promising “dinners … shows, and good times.” Let’s work a Golden Knights game into the schedule too. 💡 New Stuff Coming to the Neon Museum
Las Vegas isn’t always good at preserving architecture, so we’re extra appreciative of the work done by the Neon Museum to revive and display key pieces of Sin City history. New additions to the Neon Boneyard this year include Siegfried & Roy’s bronze tiger sculpture, the Mirage lagoon sign, a Formula 1 paddock sign from the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023, and the Binion’s Horseshoe sign from the ‘80s. (One of these things strikes me as less historic than the others, but let’s roll with it.) [Neon Museum]

Our Priority is Your Drinking Water
Southern Nevada's water supply meets or exceeds all state andfederal drinking water standards. However, the taste of tap water may not appeal to you. Infuse a glass with lemon slices, use a filter or chill a large carafe in the refrigerator. Learn more ways to enhance the taste at snwa.com.
