🚔 Teacher Plays “Knife Tag” With Students
A fifth-grade teacher at Wing and Lilly Fong Elementary School was arrested on allegations of inappropriate behavior. Police said Kha Nam Nguyen would turn out the lights and walk around the classroom with a cake knife in a game of “knife tag.” He also pretended students were teddy bears, hugging them while acting distraught. Advice for teachers: games like “math” and “reading” rarely lead to jail time 👍 [People]
🤑 Kalshi on Pause in Nevada
You can no longer cash in on Kalshi while predicting March Madness results, the end of the partial government shutdown, or the winner of “Survivor” — at least not for 14 days in Nevada. A judge ordered the prediction market platform to temporarily cease doing business in the state. [Nevada Independent]

Today's Big Picture
🇮🇷 Iran Threatens Tourist Destinations
As the war in the Middle East enters a fourth week, an Iranian general warns that “parks, recreational areas, and tourist destinations” around the world could be targeted in retaliation. Specific locations weren’t mentioned, but Las Vegas is a high-profile travel market and Gov. Lombardo discussed the possibility of a strengthened police presence after the U.S. attacked Iran. [Associated Press/KVVU]
- The FBI warned California authorities before the war of an Iranian plot to attack the West Coast with drones, but the agency backtracked on what it later called unverified information. [ABC News]
- The most likely form of retaliation in Las Vegas could be a cyberattack. Here’s a clue — it’s happened before. Iran hacked the Sands computer system in 2014, wiping out hard drives while interfering with computers, loyalty rewards, data storage, and even phones at the Venetian and Palazzo. [Bloomberg]
- According to a new poll, a majority of Americans believe President Trump will order troops into a large-scale ground war in Iran, although just 7% support boots on the ground. [Reuters]
