🥱 How our TSA lines compare to others
March 25, 2026 · — Rob Kachelriess
🎉 Congratulations to Boyd Gaming for giving birth to Cadence Crossing this morning.
The new Henderson casino welcomes the general public for the first time at noon today, replacing the neighboring Joker’s Wild, which closed Sunday and will be demolished 🎰

What's CITY Talking About
🏜️ Wild Aerial Rescue at Valley of Fire
Much like a cat in a tree, a pair of hikers figured out how to climb a towering ledge at Valley of Fire, but couldn’t get back down. Some incredible video shows a Metro helicopter coming to their rescue while balancing on the rock formation with one skid of the aircraft. [LVMPD Search and Rescue]
🛫 Vegas TSA Lines … Not That Bad
At least compared to everybody else. While long airport security lines draw headlines throughout the country during a partial government shutdown, travelers at Harry Reid are moving through checkpoints relatively quickly — often within 15 minutes. Go ahead and thank more than a thousand employees at our airport working without pay. [KTNV]
Aaron Ford: Listening Tour 👍 Debate 👎
Attorney General Aaron Ford says he prefers a listening tour to a debate, turning down media invitations to take the stage with Washoe County Commissioner Alexis Hill. The two are vying for the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo this fall. Ford, the current party frontrunner, says “talking directly to voters is the best way to get the word out.” [Nevada Current]
- A new poll says 80% of Nevadans disagree with President Trump’s desire to nationalize elections, preferring the federal government only have a “limited oversight role.” [Nevada Independent]
🎰 Crime, Casinos, and How to Avoid Jail
Las Vegas has a unique tool to address financial crimes connected to gambling addiction. Lawyer and contributor Dayvid Figler returns to City Cast Las Vegas to explain how diversion courts operate — and why they could be a model for the rest of the country. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
