An Atomic Golf security guard remains behind bars on $150,000 bail after police say he shot a co-worker in the chest and barricaded himself inside an office at the golfing bay attraction for six hours. A new cannabis consumption lounge — the first in two years in Nevada — is now open at The Grove dispensary near the airport. A proposal for a 21,000-seat, NBA-ready "Diamond Arena" near Mandalay Bay was announced with little information about how it might be financed. We reached out to spokesperson Tom Letizia (who was the campaign manager for Shelley Berkley’s winning run for mayor and infamously had choice words for opponent Victoria Seaman after a debate). He acknowledged “a few hurdles in front of us,” beginning with the official confirmation of an NBA team in Vegas, but confirmed the ownership as CHETAK, a wholly owned corporation that's held the land for more than 30 years.
