🎰 Why just live in Las Vegas when you can live here on purpose?
That’s what being a City Cast Las Vegas Neighbor is all about. It’s easy access to the profound stories, events, and people that make this city feel alive. We’re talking members-only events, volunteer opportunities, bonus podcast content, and shoutouts for the places you love.
Becoming a City Cast Las Vegas Neighbor is also one of the easiest ways to feel more connected to the people who care about this city as much as you do.
As an added bonus, when you join during the spring campaign, we’ll send you a custom Oxford Pennant banner. Flying it is a small but mighty way to show off your city pride.
What's CITY Talking About
⚖️ Resurrecting the Death Penalty in Nevada?
There hasn’t been a death row execution in Nevada in more than 20 years, but that’s not stopping District Attorney Steve Wolfson from seeking the punishment in three high-profile murder cases. [Las Vegas Review Journal]

- City Cast Las Vegas looks at the efforts to bring back the death penalty in Nevada and why prosecutors have asked for it more than 200 times without succeeding. [City Cast Las Vegas 🎧]
🛬 Spirit Broken
Imagine being at a party, then can’t find your ride home. That’s what it was like for stranded visitors in Las Vegas with flights booked on Spirit airlines over the weekend. [KSNV]
- Spirit officially ceased all operations after the White House declined to financially back aircraft that aren’t bombing Iran. [The Hill]
🏳️🌈 A Matter of Pride in Henderson
The president of Henderson Pride stepped down ahead of the Henderson Pride Festival over the weekend. Anthony Cortez apologized for an incident at Dust (a festival sponsor) where he was caught on video aggressively confronting a dancer. Las Vegas Pride issued a statement, not wanting any association (“past or perceived”) with Henderson Pride. [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

😁 We want to share a nice note from Victoria H., who just signed up to be a City Cast Las Vegas Neighbor …
“I've been reading City Cast since you started, and feel guilty I have not supported sooner … I’ve loved Las Vegas since moving here in 1994 and City Cast gives me the small bites of info and events to stay connected without having to watch the depressing news."
Thank you Victoria 🙏
