What's CITY Talking About

⛺ What Life In Underground Tunnels Is Really Like

In a City Cast Las Vegas exclusive, executive producer Layla Muhammad joined the Shine a Light Foundation for a tour of the tunnels and washes that attract our community’s unhoused population. The latest episode of City Cast Las Vegas reveals what life underground is really like in Las Vegas, from what happens when it rains to why people choose tunnels over city-supported shelters. 🎢 Primm Enters Hospice Care

We once asked if Primm was going to become Nevada’s next ghost town — and the answer is now a hard yes. Primm Valley Resorts is closing all of its state-line properties for good on July 4, including the casinos, shops, and employee apartments. Even the Lotto Store ‼️ (The gas stations remain in question.) Whiskey Pete’s already shut down more than a year ago, and Buffalo Bill’s was barely operating on a part-time basis. [KLAS]

🚘 Speeding Car Tears Through Town Square

Is it still safe to shop at Whole Foods? At least seven cars were smashed up in the Town Square parking lot near Guitar Center by a hit-and-run driver, who’s now under arrest and suspected of intoxication. (His license plate was ripped off and left behind, so he wasn’t getting far without a police chat.) [Las Vegas Review-Journal]

🗳️ Kamala Harris Returns to Vegas

And the traffic delays won’t be as bad as the last time she was here. The former V.P. and presidential nominee is helping raise support for local Democrats today with a “fireside chat” — making me wonder if she understands the weather in Vegas 🤔 [KSNV]

  • Another Democrat, Aaron Ford, won’t be at the event. Nevada’s attorney general is busy suing Discord over becoming what he calls an online “haven” for child sex predators. [Nevada Independent]
