July 31, 2026 · — Rob Kachelriess

🎸 Hey …

We’re back with a special-edition monthly guide for August — full of hacks, events, and activities to make the most of the month and close out summer in the best way possible 😎

Hacks for a Better August

🏈 Preview the New and Improved Raiders

The Raiders begin preseason play this month and there's a cool way to get an early feel for how things are going. The team is inviting fans to sit in on open practices. The first four at the Intermountain Health Performance Center in Henderson are already fully booked. (Sorry!) But tickets remain for the final one on Aug. 11 at Allegiant Stadium, which has plenty of seats. The cost is $5 with all proceeds benefitting the Raiders Foundation.

🍹 Boozy Special Events

🍣 The Key to Free Musabi

Musabi is a sushi-like combination of grilled Spam, rice, and seaweed — and it’s surprisingly addictive. You can try the Hawaiian favorite for free on National Spam Musabi Day on Aug. 8 at participating L&L Hawaiian Barbecue locations throughout the valley. Show up between noon and 4 p.m.

🥵 Higher Ground to Beat the Heat

It’s August. It’s hot. So head to the outskirts of the valley where the elevation is higher and the temperatures are a little cooler.
